Numasbala is a music group known for its incredible fusion of cumbia, reggae, funk and afro-beat called “sacudón” (from the word sacurdir, “to shake”). The band is focused on spreading good vibes, sending positive messages, challenging stereotypes, and questioning taboos about the world, the universe, and oneself.

The project's brief was to design an identity that reflected this exclusive approach to music, and to capture the personality and energy of the musicians. The logo design proposal, a frisky blend between an umbrella and a boat, manages to portray the band's objective of sharing controversial messages through beats from around the world. The black and white illustrations of the visual language reveal surreal scenarios related to the songs lyrics and sublime meanings. Each band member is represented by a fictional character within the illustration, highlighting the band’s individual and authentic personality.  The overall look of the communications and printed collateral offers a ludicrous take on the enthusiasm and craziness of the band members and their music.
